Cross-country skiing at the Wilder Kaiser in Tyrol
The gently undulating countryside at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser could have been made for cross-country skiing. Beginners and competent cross-country skiiers alike can make extensive use of the sunny flat superbly prepared trails between the the four Kaiser villages of Going, Ellmau, Scheffau and Söll. The Wilder Kaiser region has over 70 kilometres of prepared trails at its disposal. One of these is the Kaisertrail in Ellmau which runs parallel to the picturesque winter walking path and also affords a spectaular view of the Kaiser mountain range. A perfect place to start a cross-country ski safari is on the Blattltrail in Going or on the Sunnseittrail in Söll.
